Ebay is completely unresponsive to customer needs or simple problems. There is no where to contact for true resolution to problems. They only have overseas representatives who have no real authority or authorization to remedy a problem. They are rude and completely unhelpful.

customer service the worst

The hold times to get someone that knows what they are talking about are ridiculous....an average of 30 minutes, then they have to transfer you and you keep hearing "Your call is very important to us" and I want to scream NO ITS NOT. I've been on hold now for 2 hours and have spoken to a human for less than 15 minutes of that time.

Nest of FAKE products

Most of products I purchased & paid at eBay website were FAKE & JUNK so I have no choice but to return them & opened quite a few of eBay buyers protection case. Because of these eBay Suspended my account noting "I abused their eBay buyers protection program". I spent hundreds of dollars for return shipping, also all negative feedback to those sellers were removed or lifted from sellers account. I feel that eBay tolerates these scammers. I lost my respect & trust to eBay. Suspended account is a good thing for me, their lost!

Outsourcing

The fact that another US based company has outsourced its work is frustrating. I am calling for a boycott of eBay and other companies that use outsourcing to maximize corporate profits. This is the first time I attempted selling on EBAY and I must say the last! The work I have to go thru to get a item that was supposed to have sold fixed by a outsourced employees because some moron can't read the shipping instructions is almost unbearable. We need our USA based corporations to bring their money back to the States. We need our government to lower the tax rate for companies like EBAY so that they want to bring that money back here. But what we really need is a corporation to lead by example and not by profit margin for once.

Ebay should call their Buyer Protection Plan the "almost protected plan". I purchased something by mistake and the seller would not refund my money. Ebay allowed this scammer to keep $215 of my money because "mistakes are not covered". They are the only "corporation" out there that does not cover a wrong purchase. This person knew it and used it to his advantage. Sucks!

Unprofessional

Ebay gets hacked and requires us to reset our password but fails to allow us to reset the password. The option they offer to call in does not work as they put you through to customer service staff that rudely advise you to create a new account. I even asked to talk to a supervisor who was rude, unprofessional and did nothing to help keep me as a customer. Time for Ebay to go Buh-bye!

Disappointed eBay customer

I purchased a damaged item through EBay and eBay asked me to send it back. After sending the item back the seller refused to refund my money, when I contacted eBay with tracking number and a receipt from the post office that the seller signed when he picked up the item. eBay continued making excuses. I was very happy with the way ebay handled my problem. I bought a mink coat from a seller and when I received the coat it was beautiful but on close inspection, there were holes all over the coat. at first ebay turned down my request for a refund but upon speaking with them and telling them the issues with the coat, I was refunded my $750.00. I am pleased with the way the situation was handled. The seller was a bad one.

Seller has no rights

A buyer has all the rights in the world do mark a sellers rating on how they think & feel. The seller has no say in the matter even when a buyer pays 7 to 10 days late. If a seller marks bad communication on ratings on the seller it will never let us sellers know whom the buyer was. Ebay will not work with the sellers but are quick to punish them if things goes wrong. 4 bad communication & 4 late shipment in 12 months got me restricted indefinitely without my right to know who and what they said. Withholding Payment

I sold a doll on Ebay. The purchaser sent the money in within 24 hours. I shipped the doll the next day. GUESS WHAT ... Ebay held my money via Paypal for 21 days. The sum of this is, the buyer had the doll, ebay had the money, and I was out of pocket $24.70, the cost of shipping. Now the 21 days are over, Paypal is taking another 7 days to transfer the funds to my bank account. So, ebay/paypal has had money for 28 days. Where is the interest accrued on this money? They are making a fortune on the backs of their sellers, never mind their over the top charges for placing items for sale. NEVER again, either as a purchaser or seller. I deal with Ruby Lane. Is this holding of funds legal?

Ebay is a joke when taking care of there sellers. You as a buyer have all the rights in the world do mark a sellers rating go negative and the seller has no say in the matter, ebay will make sure of this. EBay's customer servce just to me as a seller that I am wasting my time with them. As a seller, I am one of the ones that is paying the salary, but they don't care. Charged for a suspended account

I do not know my password to my account to login, and ALL of ebay's password retrieval or password reset sends emails to the address that is not accessible. Why am I not allowed to change my email address to one that works? I understand security measures but how can I pay fees when ebay is not allowing me to get into my account, however continually charges me for an account that was put on suspense for non payment??? does this make sense? ALL attempts to contact customer service sends me round and round to another rep that I have to repeat my story to and offers no help yet I continually have been charged for an account that was suspended over a year ago.

Ebay will not give me my overpayment back

Requested several times to refund my overpayment of fees, Ebay will not respond and will not give me my money. I have contacted BBB and filed a complaint. Also filed with Attorney General in Arizona we will see if they respond the the government??

Damaged Television

I received a 50" television and it was damaged the screen had spider web like cracks all on the front of it. I contacted the seller no response. I contacted Ebay and they said all they could do was email the seller and said good luck on getting the seller to contact me. I needed the seller to contact Fedex to file a claim and I have not heard or had any luck with anything!!!! I am disabled and on a fixed income I cannot get my money back and I am without a television.

Bought an item seller asked for more money, seller left sexual comments in ebay messaging, ebay removed the negative feedback I left because it said the seller made threats to me. China call center terrible, not allowed to speak to a supervisor, if you're wanting to file a case, save your time it will take 30-45 mins and will not go anywhere.

Just try to contact e-bay in ca. they have made it almost impossible to talk to anyone in the corporate offices. The same low grade employees that are used in the PI are the same ones that are used to handle all customer complaints so there is no way to actually register a real complaint. Lies, wrong phone numbers, put on hold for long periods and multiple times in one phone session. These are just a few of the things that are happening and the problem continues on. I've called for very close to a year to solve one problem which they have admitted it is their problem. Just the kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE that we all want and need. So why do people complain about e bay? Makes one wonder huh!

Very poor customer service

Ebay customer service lies to you when you try to talk to a supervisor or request a phone number to contact their corporate headquarters. Ebay does not allow negative feedback to be left for any reason against buyers because buyers have to be protected. Someone can change their mind about purchasing someone and Ebay will charge it back to the seller without even talking to the seller. It is then a fight with Ebay to prevent this charge from coming out of your account. Ebay is not a friendly place to buy and sell any longer.

Ebay does not look at all sides of the story. always finds in favor of the buyer allows buyers to leave untruthful comments about sellers even when documented makes sellers refund buyers everytime no matter what allows buyers to threaten and curse sellers and not be held accountable for their actions. does not educte new buyers on their responsibility of buying customer service is useless only says that does not fall into the category. this is nonnsense! they must be stopped any takers?

Screwed by Seller

A seller deceitfully sent me the wrong item. I sent the item back and never got the money back because the seller denied receiving the item after many correspondence. Ebay refused to intervene because the 90 days period has passed. Billmelater wants me to pay it back since it was done through billmelater. I sent a letter and an email to CEO and have yet to hear from him. Ebay is the safe harbor for crooks

Buyers Watch out

Ebay customer service doesn't support the buyers at all. If a transaction is canceled by the Seller and buyer declines the requests, Ebay take the transaction fee but the buyers are not compensated in any way. Talking to customer service they come up withambiguous answer almost always forumated in the same sentence pattern that they can't do anything about even after it is repeatedly happening. Also they are interupt while talking and quick to accuse as if it is your fault. Clearly shows that they don't care about customers anymore. It is time to look at the lots of alternative available solutions or stick to amazon, etsy or any other auction sites. The supervisors are rude and treat your like uneducated child and if we have to file a complaint against the supervisor they don't transfer to there manager at all.

When was Lying the Truth

I was doing okay on ebay and had a No Return Policy for my "Buy it Now" products. @ woman wanted to return. I simply copied and pasted Ebay rules back to them. One ask for credit I gave it to her then she decided she wanted money back, which I did and then she left a neg. feedback, The other mailed back her dress after she wore it( smelled of perfume and BO ) and wanted a refund. Ebay would not believe me. I was kicked off for life. Why have a no return policy even an option, Ebay? When was lying the truth.

Unable to leave feedback

I spoke to two women from customer service whose ability to communicate in English was limited regarding leaving negative feedback for a buyer who refused to pay for an item. I was told that I could no do so as I had gone to the resolution center put in a complaint and eventually I had to ask that the case be closed in order not to be charged a fee. I was told that ebay does not allow you to leave negative feedback when you file a case with the resolution center. The message I received is that ebay does not care about a sellers frustration in dealing with deadbeats. They want to protect the buyer and not the seller. I hve spend over an hour trying to deal with the transaction and the deadbeat buyer gets away scoot free. I called the corporate office but was not given a choice to speak with a person. I am extremely disappointed with Ebay.

Bad everything

Ebay restricted my account for life even do I have been with them for over 12 years because I was selling so much ($10,000-$16,000) dollars in and they would not increase my selling limits. I was selling cheap watches, cell phone accessories, dvd, cables, a little of everything. There customer service is awful, spoke to CEO John don't care about ebay. Now selling locally and making more money than having to pay that ugly paypal company and ebay fees, they were taking all my profit.

Holding Funds

I am livid that ebay has released my last three sold item funds immediately but just up and decided to hold my most recent sold item's funds. I have excellent feedback both buying and selling. It insane. I was told by paypal and ebay I would not have funds held anymore. They didn't stipulate they would hold funds if they were of a certain $ amount. Customer Service was of NO HELP. They even lied to me and said they didn't know the corporate number. It took me 2 seconds to find it online. Crappy service to the small time seller. Especially since ALL my feedback is excellent! Your company should be ashamed! Should there ever be a class action law suit against ebay, you can bet I will be a part of it!

Hold on funds for 21 days !

I was told I have a hold for 21 days to access funds from pay pal. They said my dashboard went down, but my feedback score went up. I can't use my pay pal card to print postage of issue a refund. They told me I need to use my own money. From my personal bank acct. I do not have extra funds to do postage or refunds. I live day to day. Tried to talking with customer support and got run around for 2 hours. And still funds will not be released. There is no support for seller at all. I am so disguested. Have been a seller for 8 yrs. Any help would be appreciated.

They won't do the right thing unless they see millions on the table. It's corporations who hire them so they can help the pay off the school loans get out of debt. Ebay unfair to small sellers

Again, if 0 stars were an option I would give it. I have been a small seller on ebay for 13 years and find my account restricted because one customer lied about receiving item.Ebay customer servive admitted that they thought customer was lying but said I had to wait 1 year, unless I became a "high volume seller" in which case they would remove the restriction in 3 months or less. ebay truly sucks and is grossly unfair.

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. They told me that as a seller I have no options for dealing with a bad buyer. They told me it was okay if I closed my account when I called customer support. While this buyer is lying, I lose my money and have no action for recourse. STAY AWAY FROM eBay!!!

Feel Ripped Off

Ebay is charging me fees on shipping .. 10% on shipping and i pay bubble wrap ,peanuts and tape. I also have not charged enough for shipping to pay shipping cost Then Ebay thinks they need 10 %. I called they wanted me to add shipping into my product cost. I only laughed at them. Same fee where i add to cost of item. I told them i was no dumb person and i can do math. You pay if you add it as free shipping and put it into the cost. What idiot do they think we are ?

I have never had any problems buying of selling, percentages may become a consideration given its a different marketplace than say amazon, contact me and I'll let you know of your next best advertising slogan, although it'd only be towards the hipster, on the go crowd, you know consumers.

PayPal is killing your business

I have experienced repeated problems with making payment via PayPal, wishing on all transactions to charge it to my personal credit card, which is in their record. P/P needs to take a page out of Amazon's playbook, which displays payment options in 1 simple menu. P/P drags you thru mutiple screens, with obvious intent to have one subscribe to their debit card of "Pay-It -Later". I'm now going to speak with my feet and take as much of my business elsewhere. Noted is your rating is showing a 2.3 out orf 5.0----pretty pathetic. USAToday also reported unmet earnings expectatations for EBay, and yet worse for P/P. I like EBay, but folks, PayPal is tanking your business.

"Report Item" is a joke.

Ebay's listing practices are not uniformly upheld worldwide. Items doing the same "NOT ALLOWED" things listed in USA, UK, AUS and CANADA are not acted upon the same by eBay's T&S department. Ebay's Trust & Safety and Listings Specialists departments are useless clowns. Items reported and re-reported weekly over 7 weeks, and by three times by email and three times by phone are still up, active and remain untouched as if immune despite the total disregard of those listings' obvious and multiple listing practices violations. IMHO, some users are given passes when their violations are ignored.

took advise of ebay associate to escalate my case and what wrong advice they gave me. I sold a burberry jacket and buyer nsists that it is not authentic. After numerous emails and contactin neiman marcus to try to obtain receipt, ebay after a few hours favored buyer. Where is my protection. They have non experienced help, who gives out wrong advise. If they could read, they would have seen that it was going to take 7 to 10 days to do a micro film on my account to try to retrieve receipt. but no, they awarded buyer. Where again, does it say that buyer is a burberry expert. I have been top and power seller. as they sent me a certificate of achievement from Mr Donahoe. I guess it does not mean much. Sellers BEWARE, if you have a problem. be assured that with ebay, buyers seem to have the upper hand.

Checking small business sellers

I purchased ink cartridges and the ad listed that the black cartridges would fit my copier (LC 71 for a Brother J430W). The dealer (seller)was not very cooperative. The listing was a misrepresentation and when I reported same Ebay said they could not help me because my reporting the problem was beyond the time limit. It's obvious one doesn't insert a cartridge in a copier until they are ready to use it, otherwise how would they know the cartridge doesn't fit. EBay is at fault on 2 counts. The first being a reasonable time limit to report improper cartridges after relying on the sellers advertisement, and permitting the seller to misrepresent by advertising false info.

Ebay Buyer

Ebay and Paypal allow the sellers to commit fraud with out any consequences what so ever. The seller had item listed as obo so I bid,won and paid after several hours the seller changed their mind and they allow them to refund my money instead of sending item. When you call ebay to fix the problem they just blow you off ever time you call because they only make money off the sellers.

No Buyer Protection

As a long time Ebay Buyer I received no satisfaction from the buyer protection service. I contacted the seller and returned the item only to receive a partial refund. I called Ebay after e-mail provided no response, they tell you because the seller provided a partial refund a case can not be opened follow up with Paypal and dispute the transaction. PayPal then directs you back to Ebay and tells you to open a dispute. It's a scam that protects the seller! A dispute can not be opened in Ebay or Paypal because a partial refund was issued. I'm disgusted with the process.

Persistence

I've had several occasions where I called ebay and was told to basically take a hike when trying to resolve a problem I was having. However, not every CSR is the same. Today I had incredible service via ebay. The CSR was courteous and thorough. He quickly resolved my problem and apologized for it not being done so the first time. So don't give up on ebay just yet... Be persistent and call back until you get the answer you'd like : )

If you are looking for help from EBAY corporate for your problem, forget it. They refer you back to the customer service number where they are all programed to give out the same information. I have been on EBAY since 1998 and this is the only company where you cannot take your appeal higher. They all stink!

and to date still not resolved. Unfortunately call centre in Asia somewhere. Even though staff are polite & try to help, they do not know what they are talking about. Frustrated to no end. Probably will stop & find another place to sell.

Bad Advice/ Lies from eBay Customer Service

I received guidance from multiple eBay customer service reps (before and after an auction ended). They gave me the same information and continually helped me through a process. I followed their instructions exactly and I am left with the consequences. eBay is not willing to assist me further as they have already obtained their money.

I personally think Ebay is a major rip off. I have bougfht 3 items in the last couple months and all three of the items were junk. I bought a sewing machine off Ebay and it was advertised as an upholstery sewing machine and it was nothing more than a cheap portable regular sewing machine. I contacted Ebay and they did absolutely nothing. I contacted big mouth Pay Pal and they too did absolutely nothing. Prior to that I bought two time clocks off Ebay and when I received them neither one of them worked and when I contacted Ebay and they did absolutely nothing again. When I contacted Pay Pal again all their hipe and we will do this to protect you is a line of crap. I recommend to every one that they do not buy anything from Ebay. I am also going to post this on every list serve that I am on (26) so people do not get burned by these rip off sites. Buyer beware

Complaining, following through, and writing this stuff does little. Answer. Don't expect much except lip service from eBay and you won't be disappointed. Don't eat your heart out trying to build a perfect business with their auction model. Just sell your stuff, use them as they use us, and take your money. i bid on ebay 01/03/13 and i won. i had encountered a horrible seller. so i gave him negative feedback. but i was very shocked when i saw a feedback listed in my spot. "1 of the best seller, 1st class. until next time." says there. used my ebay id. can you believe that? i called customer service and said to them that that was wrong i did not put that. negative red sign and at the message its praising the seller? and customer service guy is insisting that i did put that. come on!!! to proud to bossy agents. sounds drunk also. how can they do that? they must investigate the authorities. and more suspicious is their virification questions, asking digits of social security.... never again buy on ebay.......

E-Bay sucks!!!

It was my first sell at E-Bay and it has been a nightmare trying to deal with their terrible customer service "support". eBay customer service is so bad I can't even put it into words. E-Bay keeps our money for several days after the confirmation of delivery to the buyer, I am not sure that this is legal, because E-Bay is earning interest money with our money and E-Bay does not pay that interest money to us sellers. I am going to find out if this business is legal. My first sell is nothing but a nightmare and the buyer paid for the item sold right away but E-Bay refused to send my money and when calling their customer service number it routes to the Phillipines and God help you with those liars that contract with E-Bay and respond to the phone calls for E-Bay customers. Shame on you E-Bay you would not get away with that.

You guys are a bunch of corporate bullies that could care less about the ebay seller. All you're worried about is the bottom dollar net sales and how you could reduce your COGS* basically by reducing your customer service. You guys are an embarrassment to the E-commerce community. Amazon or any other online company for that matter, is far superior in customer service. Ebay, is a hopeless catastrophe. eBay has horrible customer service

Although I love selling on eBay, it has been a nightmare trying to deal with their terrible customer service "support". eBay customer service is so bad I can't even put it into words. When I have questions or an issue which one has recently come up I have to call in several times to get an answer as most of the time the reps are not trained well enough to direct me in how to handle issues properly. Due to the fact that most of the customer service support is based in Asia it is extremely difficult to understand and communicate with them. eBay does nothing to protect the sellers who bring in all the money for which eBay gladly deducts 9% from each item sold. I recently had a terrible buyer who tried to cheat me and eBay did nothing to protect me whatsoever. I sent a model train, the buyer did not want it and I kindly offered to refund his money (although I do not offer returns); if and only if it was sent back in the same perfect condition I sent it in. It was sent back terribly damaged, and then he opened a case against me. I ended up giving him over half his money back and then after calling eBay again for the 50th time a rep told me "you should not have done that". But the multiple other reps I spoke with had said to resolve the issue by doing this for the buyer. Now I am out over half the value of the train, the shipping, the packaging and the buyer still has not agreed to the "cancel transaction", and I am still waiting for my final value fees to be refunded. In fact has not responded at all since he got his money back. Now I am told that I should have turned it over to eBay resolution center. The customer support is just the worst ever! I am very dissatisfied with the level of support and lack of knowledge; in addition not being able to communicate well the language barrier. I was then promised a credit of $29.99 from a supervisor based out of Asia/Philippines on 12/11 and that was suppose to occur within 24 hours. That never happened either. I tried calling the San Jose Corporate offices but the phone number only directs you back to the eBay's website and tells you to do a live chat. Shame on you eBay for not taking care of the sellers rights!

Customer Service

Ebay is the WORST! I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour yesterday and understood perhaps half of what the representative was saying! Extremely frustrating and they were not even willing to work WITH me regarding a rating issue! Ebay is definately NOT USER FRIENDLY and I am hoping that other sites such as ETSY and MH$P grow large enough so I will not have to use EBAY at all. Customer Care

What has happened to E-Bay customer care? It seems that they have gone the way of all of the successful dot. coms. Their customer care I understand is in a foreign land. Their agents speak poor english. I feel that they are protecting the sellers more than their buyers! It also seems that they have put up a firewall between their buyers and customer care, with many questionaires, they tell you to contact the seller, if the seller won't respond you are out of luck. If a seller won't play by E-Bay rules it is overlooked. A buyer has to file a claim against the seller. I bought and paid for an item in October it is now December, no item! Seller posted a shipping notice whith the wrong zip, USPS said it was never shipped. Seller will not answer messages. I chose not to file a claim to see if the seller would eventually come through. I am now told by Ebay that I am out of luck!

Closed dispute

Ebay closed my dispute because the buyer proved he shipped the item.Problem was he shipped to the wrong address.I asked for my shipping back from ebay because they gave the buyer the wrong address and I would have to pay additional shipping to try and get the item from the wrong address. Called customer service and never heard from them after they promised a supervisor would call me back.

eBay is primarily operating out of Southeast Asia. Good luck with that. If you call the corporate number for live help, the recording says you get LIVE CHAT on the home page. Well, that's not there. They have an online auction monopoly...so you can vent here, but it's really not going to do any good. It is a company NOT customer service oriented.

Just found out about sending limits with Paypal the sister company of Ebay and owned by Ebay. Only 2 options for lifting sending limit is linking my bank account or buying a Paypal credit card. Talk about holding a gun to my head. I was contacted numerous time to start selling on Ebay by Ebay then once I start they restrict my Paypal account and force me to buy their credit card? I sold 3 item "FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY" the three items were sold to one buyer. Before he had even paid mm, he placed 3 unreceived item disputes against me..... I tried to contact anyone at ebay in Australia and end up talking to someone with poor english in india or the philippines not sure couldnt understand her except that she wasnt in Australia. After several weeks I did not receive payment I warned the buyer (this is after his nonreceived item dispute)that I was going to cancel the sale. He paid, then immediately posted on my site comments three of them that I am a thief. The poor English speaking Ebay person that I had talked too told me the comments would be with drawn and could see the local pick up on the page. a month later the comments are still there I now spent another 18 minutes on hold today and achieved nothing. I have now contacted Lawyers and intend to sue ebay for its negligent and slanderous statements it refuses to remove. We have a site in Australia called Gum Tree which is free and better than Ebay. But recently has been bought out by ebay. I suggest that unhappy sellers who have the time and resources should look to opening up their own free sites,in their own countries. ebay doesnt care bout anything except payment-money. I have had several non payers in the past and as a seller can leave only positive feed back or nothing........ total contempt and a total insult to my intelligence.... ebay sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a long time seller and buyer on ebay. I have a 100% rating and over 450 reviews. I am writing because I am not valued as a seller, only a buyer. Recently I sold a very nice piece of jewelry on ebay and a nice person purchased it. She did not receive it (thanks to USPS) I filed a investigation with ebay, the post office and paypal. I called and was told by 3 customer service people that I WOULD be covered as well as the buyer. I furnished, the case number, the fraud investigation case number, the point of sale number and all info I had. I was told that there was not problem and that both I an the buyer are covered because I was so diligent in researching as well as contacting the buyer (who left me stellar review after) the buyer was reimbursed and I was not,. I lost the jewelry and the money that ebay refunded and now they are threatening me with suspention of my account or potential closure because I am NOT reimbursing them, They lied to me, and as a seller this is not the first time. I am fed up and though they are threatening me...I am on the verge of closing my account with them. I cannot do business with a company that ONLY considers buyers but not the sellers that bring in the business....I am so disappointed. Honestly, if I had been told I was responsible I might be able to work through it but the 3 customer service people I spoke with vehemently confirmed I WOULD also be covered since I had opened cases, sent in payment in and worked with the buyer at this time I think ebay is a fraud company and their customer service is highly undereducated or they just flat lie....I am done. my company has been a positive Ebay seller for years. we had a change in shipping personnel, a short while back and i have been trying to resolve issues with them for over 2 weeks now. the call takers have such poor interpersonal skills. the ones i have dealt with act like i am the village idiot, and not a customer.. at this point if i could give them a zero i would.

Ebay has now become a place only for buyers. Sellers are charged all kinds of fees and not protected at all.I sold a used item in excellent condition with pics to show the item. Buyer recieved item and now says it has all kinds of problems. I told the buyer I would issue a refund if they return the item. They refused to ship it back and told me to shove my refund and then left me a negative feedback. I did all I can do as a seller. I recieved nasty emails from the buyer insulting me and everything. And ebay says I can not have the feedback removed. As well as the fact that I can not leave a negative for a buyer after they lied about damage. As a seller I pay many fees to ebay for a service and they do not protect their sellers at all. I will be closing my account and using another online auction site. Its disquisting.

Been with EBay over 12 years. Not receiving free listing announcements. Called, mostly Asian responses, supervisors, tech support, no answers. Every time, for about 7 weeks now, it is like starting over. Nobody understands good English. tech support wrote back after 5 weeks and said all info was gone because it took so long. I have no idea when or if there are free listing days. Those in Asia do not know our holidays and they do not know about invitation only, etc. they just do not understand. Ebay is promoting sellers/vendors on their website - without making sure that their sellers/vendors adhere to their own advertising representations. Ebay claims that they are not responsible for their power sellers advertisement and that buyers should deal directly with the seller. However, ebay provides wrong information for seller contact info - so buyer cannot even contact seller. Seller doesn't have correct phone number so there is no one to talk to. This is a Power Seller that Ebay promotes and supports. Does Ebay not care to do the right thing? Suspend it's seller until seller fulfills it's representations contained in their advertisement - which Ebay is promoting? Ebay doesn't want to lose out on their commission and listing fees. But what about a class-action suit? Is that what it will take to get their attention? Customer Service is useless in this regard.

First of all, is there a rating lower than one? Thought not, oh well. I sold a mint condition book to a thief bookseller recently. Buyer contacted me and stated he wanted a refund - he says book was damaged and that now he can see the obvious damage in the description pictures. I asked him, in an email, "then why did you bid on it? He didn't answer back. Anyway, I got the book back in the same mint condition that he received it in, and, end of story, he got his money back from ebay/paypal without them asking me one question about the issue. I still have the book and would love to shove it straight up his, sorry, I digress. Ebay cares not for sellers rights, only buyers-buyers rule in disputes. The sellers pay for keeping the lights on at 2145 Hamilton Av, San Jose, right? Hi there! If you've read my first post it's been over a month or almost a month now that I have been fighting EBAY about my case. Almost two weeks ago I called them and gave them all informations that the buyer received the package in GUAM and so they re -appealed my case and WON and they told me it will take about 5-7 business days and I should have my money back already. A week past and I didn't have my money yet. I called again today, actually couple of days and ended up more than 20 minutes wait I gave up. Today I was able to talk to CS again and after minutes of waiting, the agent told me he's got someone working on it right now but will take 24hrs before I will see the money on my account. REALLY! all these days wait and then now another 24hrs wait! I hope I see it tomorrow then. Doubt it bcuz I really hunged up on the agent. I told him EBAY doesn't support or protect SELLERS only the buyers, they should protect the SELLERS too because we pay all these FEES! oh well makes me don't want to buy or sell on EBAY anymore. They should listen both sides before siding on the buyer righ away and then threatened me that my account will be suspended or subject to COLLECTIONS. GEEZ! i will not let anyone tarnish my name for $153.00 and it's not even my fault...it the shipping! Be careful sending packages outside 48 CONTINENTAL USA. DOnt go through what I've gone through. Take note of the buyer 2nysbag from DEDEDO GUAM what's weird was teh package arrived in YIGO GUAM which is different from the buyer's given address. SO what happened there? I don't have a clue!

I have been a MEMBER since 2007 and had some problems with Buyer/Seller but this recent problem I had with a BUYER ( 2nysbag ) from GUAM is really taking a toll on me. She won the set of AUTHENTIC COACH PURSE Cross body bag and Check Book Wallet,would retail both more than $400.00 she won for $153.10. I shipped it the cheapest I can. okay I had charged $24.00 for shipping because the purse were really worth what she paid for. She was okay with that. She instructed me to ship it priority so it gets to GUAM quicker. I have been told by the post that the package will reach her in TWO WEEKS. I Shipped her items August 1 2012 and the TRAcKING # said it got to CALIFORNIA August 6 2012 and since had not given any UPDATE. SHE was so mad and AUGUST 14,2012 SHE filed a case against me and wanted her money back! That's not two weeks even ,not counting the weekends. From the very begining I told her I've been told her package should be there in two weeks and after the items leaves my Hands I no longer have control on how fast the package will arrive in GUAM. This was my first time I ever shipped to GUAM and will never do it again. So after days I received e-mails from ebay that buyer had opened a case against me and wants a refund. I have been in constant contact with buyer and e-bay,explaining my side and gave them tracking number etc. Buyer 2nysbag escalated the case cuz she wants her money back. EBAY reimbursed her and since EBAY reimbursed her, EBAY wants me to reimbursed them (EBAY). I didn't do that and EBAY e-mailed me couple of times that I have to pay them or my account will be temporarily suspended and that I will be SUBJECT to COLLECTIONS. Can you imagine $153.10 I will or my name will be tarnished!? I have been in constant call with EBAY asking them to HELP me with this CASE. Finally the package reached GUAM on August 29 2012 and called EBAY again and asked them again to help or what to do about this CASE. Not my FAULT the shipping was slow. This is Already Sept. and I have not received any e-mail from EBAY. Pretty poor huh! When they want their money they send you e-mails as fast as they can and even threatens us/me, now that I am the one needing HELP no one would call or e-mail back. NOw I am out of PRODUCT and out of MONEY! Do they really think that this buyer '2nysbag' will ever return my items? I have been e-mailing her couple of times,asking her to return the purses to me when she gets them because EBAY gave her refund already. It's now SEPTEMBER and I haven't heard from her. Who knows this lady might be a fraud? SHe got good feedback,but how come this now? Granted she went on VACATION like she told me before,that's why she wants the items quickly,she sure is checking her mails. I would even if I am on vacation,especially if I'm waiting for somethng I wanted. I purchase an item, and returned the item because it was not as advertised, Ebay put a time limit on sending the item back. I sent the item on the last day and gave customer service the tracking information. In there infinite wisdom Ebay decided not only does the sell get to keep my money but also the product I sent back. What happened to buyer protection, more like screw you and I really don't care. If there was a rating lower than 1 star you would get it, I am out $90.00 and no product to boot, yeah real happy about that. I had been an advocate for Ebay but no more if anyone asks me from now on do not shop Ebay your purchase is not protected or gauranteed. You have just earned nothing but bad advertising from me and everyone I know follow it on twitter, facebook and youtube. Congratulations

As a seasoned seller on Ebay, I can tell you that Ebay has changed for the worse over the years for sellers. We are no longer respected or wanted by Ebay. Ebay has changed to a site where there are too many rules, policies and other things to prevent a pleasant selling experience. For a honest seller like myself (45,000 feedback, 100% positive), then it's a shame when I get slapped with policy violations, and it takes me hours to list my items due to having to check this and that to make sure you don't violate policies. I could say more, but who cares, we know Ebay doesn't. That's what happens when you build a site and have no real close competitors. Just remember, every big dog hits a low and then you might need us small sellers to get you back up. Will we be here still? That's The question to ask................

Do You think you talk to a supervisor when you ask for a supervisor at ebay customer service you are only talking to the clerk at the next desk these people only try to make you mad so you will hang up, if you don't hang up they will put you thur 10 different clerks(this happen two times to me) explaing to each one why you are calling after you reach the 10th clerk they hang up on you then blocked call when you call them back. they screw the buyer just as much as they screw the sellers, i closed out my ebay account which had over 5000 feedbacks as a buyer this will take 6 months to do i have not bid on anything the last two months i now go to Ebid, Wesny.com, webstore, & Bonanza which is a lot cheaper buying and selling, Lets Make Ebay go broke by going to these sites.

I had an family emergency the month of July 2012 that did affect my selling performance on ebay. To resolved this issue I was advise to appeal my seller id and fax over police reports, court papers and a business plan to seller vetting and I also faxed over to below standards department. After this was done my account would be above standards again and I would be able to sell. Today my account is still on hold,shows seller performance is standards in my seller dashboard and DSR 4.8 and above. However ebay says on their side it show below standards and low DSR because of this I will stay on hold until a next roll off. I have done everything ebay asked for me to do and I they did nothing. I loved selling on ebay but I know now don't have any personal issues happen if you are a seller.

How about the tracking upload within 24 hours???? to qualify for the "TOP RATED SELLER" I sell custom products since 1998 on eBay. I CAN NOT give a tracking number till the customer approves the sample. 85-90% of my customers will take 3-4 days to get me the information needed for me to complete their order. So basically if you haven't noticed eBAY is aiming for "BIG" Business... as soon as you log into eBAY all you see is SONY, BEST BUY, NAME BRAND CLOTHES, PURSES, SOME DINNER WITH SOME FAMOUS PERSON and so on... They do not want the heart of their business any more... "the small business people" that made them what they are today, sad very sad. I only wish to speak with the "HIGHER-UPs" like i'm always told that the customer service manager will do for me. Shame, Shame on eBAY

Ebay is extremely buyer friendly. I too have flawless feedback over the past 10+ years. I had a buyer purchase a phone from me and request a refund because the item was pink and not black as described. The deal is that the phone WAS black and the CASE to teh phone was pink. I think then had to inform the buyer of this and how to remove a phone case. 5 DAYS LATER the buyer requested a full refund because the phone's power button was not working. It took him 5 days to realize this apparently. The buy obviously broke the phone. I informed Ebay of this and escalated the case at their customer service representative's advice. Well, Ebay sided with the seller for some odd reason. Now I am stuck with a broken phone and issuing a full refund. Ridiculous.

Sounds like you want to blame someone else for your lack of care in checking out your purchase before paying. Ebay allows sellers to list and sell these items with payment by cash in person at pickup. As a seller, if you were irresponsible enough to pay cash before confirming the item's mechanical condition, I'm pleased that your case was not supported by eBay. If you had paid by Paypal, they would have surely returned your money, and that would be wrong. That is precisely what all the sellers are complaining about on this site. Too many people in this country take no personal responsibility, and expect others to back them up.

Ebay offers almost no protection for small sellers offering either new or used merchandise. Case in point I sold a PC Motherboard I had bought brand new (Intel) from Amazon originally. This board was used flawlessly for over 4 months. When we shipped it to buyer in ORIGINAL Motherboard box (designed for shipping) and even put this box in ANOTHER box with packing to insure no damage. Buyer waited a week and filed a complaint that 'AS IS' USED item we sold him was not as described and dead on arrival. This buyer has a 66.0 % feedback rating, as opposed to our 100 % for over TEN years of buying and selling on EBAY! Ebay sided with this buyer even though it was 100 % working tested, PLUS by our reputation. After going through an agonizing 45 minutes of the indignity of a 'Robot Operator' I was able to get through to a 'Live' Ebay Rep. The first one didn't speak English very well and I suspect just hung up on me, even though I was calm and explained I needed help with this issue. The 2nd Ebay rep spoke better English but told me 'You don't know the situation'..I spoke to her supervisor which offered no help and basically spoke in script like terms telling me to refund the buyer's money or suffer the wrath of Ebay and threatened me with NEGATIVE feedback! I'm crying at this point. Buyer said he took it and had it tested but refused to provide proof. AT this point the 'Buyer' has had our Merchandise for this time frame and possibly he has damaged it. Because of Ebay's rules buyers can keep merchandise new or used up to two weeks and then decide to return it if they feel like it. We will likely throw it in the garbage if it is damaged. All because EBAY does not stand by the seller. This isn't fair.

And he thanked my for my swift shipping for that. After 2 weeks, he told me he was unable to set up the machine and he said my item was not as described so he wanted to return despite it was over the stated return period. So I said no problem and I should refund him the purchasing price but less shipping. When I received the return item after 2 weeks, the machine was damaged beyond the point that worth repair when arrived. I believed all the damages were due to mishandling of the item by the courier during the transition. So I took pictures on how the machine was poorly wrapped up and all the damage parts to shows the buyer. I asked the buyer whether did he bought any insurance for the shipment. The next thing I knew was the buyer opened a resolution case and accusing me of the item was arrived that way when he received them? You will doubt why the buyer did not raise the flag when he first received them in damaged but just one part? So I replied to ebay resolution with link to the pictures. I tried to show ebay resolution center of what I got back and why I think I should not be the sole party to take full responsible of the damage. Obviously I can never resale the item to someone else. I was hoping that ebay is a fair ground for commerce. I was wrong. The buyer went forward to escalate the issue and ebay later made a full refund to the buyer in favor of him. Quickly, the case was closed. So I appealed! I called back on 07/28/12 because I saw Paypal is trying to withdraw $750 from my bank account to reimburse ebay. I told them the case was still appealing. So…I think that was not right to do so. The customer service said they need more time. So I waited until today Tuesday 07/31/12 to call back again. Very disappointedly, they told me the case had been closed and they could not do anything about it. They told be I will have to make reimburse to ebay. The next thing I told them is I would bring the damaged machine along with the original shipping carton and bubble wraps to ebay tomorrow to show them what I am standing on. I think Ebay resolution center will have to be improved somehow to help US small business. With fierce pricing competition from abroad, buyers tend to remorse more easily. And yet, ebay business model is out dated and its buyer protection is hard to keep up in providing a fair ground to the small seller like me and eventually help US economy. I will go to ebay tomorrow to present my case and hope that they will really look into this case and eventually come out with a fair rule. I am giving ebay here two stars but in reality they deserve NONE for their treatment of sellers. I am in an ongoing battle with ebay to revise the policy of allowing buyers to leave feedback even once a gtransaction has been cancelled. in the past month have received one neutral and one negative feedback from buyers who were absolutely impossible to deal with, and buyers are becoming increasingly demanding as they are well aware the seler has no recourse in the event the buyer should choose to leave derogatory or, as in my case LIBELOUS feedback. Here is the text of a letter I just sent to them on this matter which, of course, will go unread or just plain ignored: "THANK YOU FOR REPLYING WITH THE STANDARD EBAY RHETORIC. THE CRUX OF THIS MATTER AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS THE POLICY OF ALLOWING BUYERS TO LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR CANCELLED TRANSACTIONS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND FOOLHARDY AND COMPLETELY OUTSIDE THE REALM OF REASON. ONCE A TRANSACTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED THERE SHOULD BE NO FURTHER POTENTIAL FOR POSTING LIBELOUS MESSAGES ON THE FEEDBACK BOARD, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE AS SELLERS HAVE NONE....THATS NONE AS IN ZERO,,,RECOURSE. NOTHING. NADA. ZIP. ZED.HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU LOOK AT THIS OBJECTIVELY AND VIEW IT AS EVEN REMOTELY EQUITABLE?? THE ANSWER..YOU CAN'T! IN CASE OF CANCELLED TRANSACTIONS, JUST AS WITH NON PAYING BIDDER AUCTIONS, THE ABILITY TO LEAVE FEEDBACK SHOULD END ONCE AUCTION IS CANCELLED. MOREOVER, THE SELLER SHOULD NOT THEN HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE SELLER TO REQUEST THEIR CONSENT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION JUST TO RECOUP THE EBAY FEES, ALL FEES SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE REFUNDED TO THE SELLER ONCE THE PAYPAL PAYMENT IS RETURNED TO THE BUYER. THIS IS SIMPLE GOOD SENSE, EXCEPT, OF COURSE, THAT EBAY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD THOSE SELLERS' FUNDS FOR THAT MUCH LONGER. ebay has become such a buyer friendly site, having taking away large sellers important tools, and having the entire site degrade weekly, we are going to meet to see if we seriously want to continue paying all these feels on half a million in sales yearly, to a site that makes it harder and harder to sell and give our level of impeccable customer service.

I have stopped selling on eBay also because they just don't care about the private auction sellers any longer. eBay's latest earnings were again spectacular this quarter, due to their current business strategy of selling new and competing against Amazon. Here's a quote from the CEO... eBay has made progress in revamping its business, which is now geared toward selling new goods. EBay Chief Executive John Donahoe said the company is benefiting from an advertising campaign launched last year to freshen up its brand. "This is no longer your mother's eBay," he said, "you can see it in our growth rates, more and more people are coming to eBay for the first time." Mr. Donahoe said a new round of TV ads supporting eBay's brand campaign will start appearing this quarter. If individual auction sellers haven't figured this out yet, what more evidence do you need... Buyer is king and individual auction seller can quietly go away.

I made a mistake in a listing (left reserve price out) and then someone basically tried to steal the item at a much lower price than my usual reserve. Ebay leaves this sort of error completely up to the buyer's discretion, instead of taking into consideration the buyer's feedback reputation and the fact that an error was made. Not really a fair way to do business! I tried contacting several Customer Service people but got nowhere and an now stuck with bad negative feedback, which was completely undeserved. People make errors, that's human nature. Apparently Ebay doesn't think so?

Been a seller on EBay on and off for 13 years. I've got 100% positive feedback with over 1500 sales. I am 100% positive that eBay will not be around another thirteen years because something has gone terribly wrong with this company and people are starting to notice. eBay use to be a true auction site, you get when you give, sellers and buyers had equal rights and EBay wasn't owned by unscrupulous people with ignorant management. Then they obviously acquired Paypal and walah, if your a seller, then your screwed. It doesn't matter what your return policy is, if the buyer is a jerk or dishonest, you will have to give a refund, even if they gotta tap in and steal those funds themselves. You gotta problem with that, too bad cause your screwed. Whoever is in charge of making the policies are dishonest and bias against sellers. You have no rights, your not appreciated and the sooner we can find and committ to another auction site, this is what will continue to happen. :-( Sad that a company can be so popular and rich by stepping on the backs of the sellers who made them all that cash.

I recently purchased 2 tractors for $4000 - Seller said wanted paid in cash. I picked them up brought them home. Not as advertised. Seller stated ready to work, good condition. Tires are bad, oil leaks, front wheels wobble. I filed for ebay protection. sent them a copy of receipt and other info from the seller showing he stated these were in such good shape -- they ruled against me, the honest one and could not help me since it was cash. My question is - why is it stated on the e bay site to pay in cash if this is not permitted to cover the items. Do not they scrutinize what is put on the website. I am now stuck with 2 pieces of junk that I bought thru e bay. I expected more from e bay. I am a very good customer and have purchased much thru e bay. A seller should not be able to state cash if e bay is not going to protect the buyer. This person should be in jail - knew what he was doing and e bay should take some responsibility for allowing the cash deals to be put on the website...Now I know not to believe what I read from e bay....so disappointed and disgusted...

I have been trying for almost 3 months to get a problem with a buyer resolved. I sold a $265.00 handbag for 75.00. The Dooney and Bourke handbag was originally purchased from QVC, I have the original receipt, the bag is registered with the company and this bag has always been in my possession. The buyer opened a dispute against me, she communicated only with the company and not me, put negative feedback against me stating I sold her a "fake" handbag. If this had been an international transaction, eBay told me they could have destroyed my designer bag. After dozens of phone calls and many frustrating hours on the phone I have yet to get this problem resolved. The 10 Dooney and Bourke handbags I was going to sell on eBay, were removed from my selling site, because who in there right mind would purchase from a 'cheating/lying seller'. Instead, I sold the 10 D&B handbags on other auction sites, 2 of them to a police officer, and all of them to very happy purchasers. I could let this just be, since eBay has been of very limited help, but who likes to have a black mark against their good name when it is completely false. Just yersterday, with great reluctance, I sent a very professional email to the seller. As I suspected, she sent a negative reply stating that the bag was supposed to be pre-owned and looked brand new, the tassels were wrapped in tissue and she had never seen that before. So, lets get this straight--because I take great care of my belongings, didn't call the bag new because I used it a couple of times, wanted the bag to get to the buyer in great condition,[ so I bought a new cardboard box and white tissue and wrapped it carefully], sold the bag for a great price and I am the one that ends up with the negative feedback. Let this be a lesson to sellers, buyers want pre-owned items to look used. The buyer thought the embossed leather didn't look like leather. If she is such an expert, did she ever think to look at the suede that shows on the other side? Obviously, I feel eBay should remove feedback when the seller can provide absolute proof that the feedback was without merit. The buyer sent my handbag back soiled and in a plastic bag mailer, not the nice, protective box I sent it in. After being mailed across the country the interlining of the bag was crushed and in good conscience I cannot sell the bag. In her one communication to me she told me she is done discussing this and to stop contacting her. As I have stated--eBay is pro buyer! Sellers provive free inventory to eBay, deal with packing shipping, problems with sellers and a host of other things, but we don't seem to matter at all. In these economic times you would think eBay would try to be more balanced in their policies. My husband has an MBA and he has heard of numerous problems I have had trying to get this resolved and cannot believe there is not one supervisor who has the ability to rectify this matter. eBay we will give you a starting clue; your asian countries are poorly trained and not worth whatever you are paying them. A hard pill to swallow, but you need to put some dollars into training.

Would like to know how a scam artist junfangchen12 who is known by Ebay members for running a scam on Eaby and members who have filed Complaints with Ebay has a Express Fast track in completing a Transaction at Paypal ? looks like the Playing field is not level with Paypal. Ebay transaction 221064483278 for a Sharp A/c unit was shown in the add but a supplier list was sent .Was unable to cancel transaction which took just minutes for the scam artist to complete .looks like the scam artist had a good plan .

logged on to Ebay this week and thought I purchased a Sharp Portable 10000 BTU Air conditoner and the add had two descriptions but was not selling an A/C unit but a list of Suppliers and directing EBay members away from purchasing at Ebay which is a policy Violation. The fellow junfang Chen12 AKA fangchen jun would not answers 6 emails or refund $89.99 .This fellow lives in Malaysia and has an email address of Hatembark@chinamail.com . junfangchen seems to have a fast track at Paypal and had completed the transaction before I could log on and cancel the transaction 50426178A2397513X and item 221064483278 . Called Ebay twice and go the run around and no 24 hour response for a scam running on Ebay .Got double talk from Ebay Customer service .Called twice in the week and pointed out many Ebay Violations by junfangchen of Ebay rules , such as Descript theft, directing buyers away from Ebay site , Item shown not in stock , Copy right Violations , Using another sellers image of a product , False shipping address on the add under item description . Got Run arond from Ebay Customer service and then was alerted by other Ebay buyers that junfang chen12 fellow stated to one member he could not be caught because he changes his name and gives false information then creates a new username and starts another scam . Ebay customer Service seems to be helping the scammer and doing a cover up . Put the information on two of the Ebay forums and Ebay Moderation team removed them and sent me email and I sent back mail to Susan at Eaby will report Ebay to FBI Cyber crimes unit and then the federal trades commission . entered in to junfangchen12 feedback ,scam operation .Contacted Paypal also and got the same runaround double talk .Going to have to file complaints with the California attorney Generals office against Ebay and Paypal for helping a sammer run a scam operation on Eaby .On line now filing a complaint with the Federal Trade commission .

Just filed a complaint with the Federal trade commission regarding Ebay helping junfangchen12 with Fraud and a scam . FTC file number is 38816899 . FTC phone number 877382-4357 . Eaby Customer service failed to remove scammer from Ebay site . Find Ebay Customer Service Dumb and dumber. Ebay Customer Service failed to detect a scam that was under their noses . Purchased a SHarp Portable A/C unit 10000 BTU this week and found their was two Descritions in the header . The Image item was a Sharp A/C unit but the seller was selling a supplier list . Aparently Ebay thinks a scam is ok . Transaction # 221064483278 an another add still showed up in the Listings later in the week after reporting to Ebay Customer Service that they failed to detect, Image theft, Description Theft,Copy right violations,using a a False shipping address, using another members Photo image of a product and Item shown not in stcok all Ebay and federal law violations .It seems a person that chnages their user name can fool Eaby and then do the same thing with other items listed on Eaby . Have reports from other Members on Eaby when I enterd very bad feed back on Eaby under junfangchen12 feedback score . it seems Eaby customer service is happy with Deception and bait and switch in thier adds . So now they have a complaint with the federal Trade commission and then will file Charges with the FBI cyber crimes unit . and then California attorney Generals office . Ebay customer Service seems to delete key words from the search pane when looking to file a complaint ,words such as fraud,scam .Description Theft, False shipping address and so on which was lited in the FTC complaint .Ebay seems to have double standards for rules and is aiding a scammer . Find it hard that Ebay Customer servic failed to detect a fraud expert running a scam when Eaby is supposed to approve add content and image and so on . And Scammer seems to think he can do a name change and move on to other items in Ebay and not get caught .And scammer seems to have a fast track on Paypal when completing a transaction so may have inside help .Was not able to cancel transaction in less then 30 minutes when looging on to Paypal to cancel transaction .Scammer took just minuted to complete the transaction .And told Paypal when they stated can't do any thing .stated I will go to Amazon.com ,QVC,Nextag and the Exchange system and then use Google for Payment since they do not want to enforce the rules on scams and Farud .

I'd agree that Customer Service is not in the Eaby vocabulary and they are aiding scams and fraud and take no action unles you file complaints withthe FTC or the FBI cyber crime unit ic3 .Had a hard time in finding any thing under fraud,sam or image theft , description theft or false shipping address and the search pane leave out key word like these .Had to call Ebay customer service twice this week about my tansaction 221064483278 a fellow named junfangchen12 running a scam and pointed out to them the shipping address was bogus and had no street number and had no item shown a Sharp A/c unit in stock . Ebay is supposed to approve add content and descreption and looks like they can not read or are part of the scams. Eaby needs to take a reading course . and a calls on copy right laws etc . My transaction image was removed from my Ebay history this week but it took two calls by phone and 6 emails plus and then contacting Paypal. Would rate their speed on taking action very slow or taking none unless forced to do so . The 24 hour action statement is crap or garbage PR with Ebay

I have been selling on ebay since 2000. I stoped selling in 2009 and re stared up again in dec 2011.Now since then I was told that ebay revized there contract. One I never receaved a email to that affect .. I just loged into my account as i always did.Thats ok , I started to sell items again, and was told I needed to sell over $250.00 worht if Items and sell 25 fisical items. Well as of 06/11/2012 I have compleated all of what was is requiared of the contract with Ebay. Now as of three days ago I sold a dremmal item is not payed for yet07/06/2012, but this morning I had a Porter Cable nail gun sell and The gental man paid for the item $50.00 plus 26.00shipping fees. but it was deposited to my PAYPAL account but there is still a hold on the moneys. And there should not be.NOw I call costemer service and they now have a block of my phone # at my home on there end , ity hangs me up right away. But I use the same pin on any cell Phone and it goes threw . I am stateing that this is auguenst your contract that you Ebay will not assist me in materes to my account but yet wont to charge me to list items that I can not receave any type of assitance on. such as item not payed for, or any other problem I have with my account? I should not have a hold on any and all moneys deposited to my bank account in fact PAYPAL is linked to my personal bank so it makes it a bank account and Paypal is FDIC funded and insured so it is a BAnk Credit card Company!!!!! my ebay account is bupp1313@ ebay.com my email is bupp1313@msn.com, my PH# 570-325-4869 and I have had my lawer send a coppy of the last six phone call conversations with costemers service,and the last one this morning before the block on my phone from ebay, and a coppy of what happens with vidio of me calling and what happens when icall and then call from a cell # and it goes right threw.!!!! I have now been getting threats from a seller that sold me a bootleg item. I have received bizarre threats quoting Bible scriptures along with what he is going to do to me, along with multiple phone calls. As many of you have stated, Ebay is doing absolutely nothing about this and keeps saying "we will give him one more warning"...that's been over 6 weeks now. I've spoken with police and don't know what else to do.

Hello and i just want to take a moment of everyones time to discuss a e-bay problem that must be adressed with sellers from all over the country and us. we need to stand together and work as a unit to go after e-bay and their unfair standards in the market for sellers. This is my problem and I hope you take the moment to contact me and help me fight a large company who i want to start a class action lawsute on. But i need your help the other sellers who have the same problems with e-bay. Here it is my story. I started selling products on e-bay back in december of 2011 and was just starting out as i got better on selling products with e-bay I decided to open a store frount that requires me to pay them a monthly fee as well as a seller fee and shipping fees. Those fees consisted of 9% on each level as a seller i was pissed off on them charging me a 9% fee on shipping charges as i did'nt make money on that at all. Then i changed my shipping fees as directed to offset the 9% fee e-bay charges.Those charges were 19.95 standard shipping and handeling fees. The problem then got thicker when just after i reached the 3 month mark the review was done and within that same week i sold 35 to 40 items and all customers recived their product within 3 days of their transaction compleation. I then had 3 negitive complants and not one of those customers bothered contacting me at all they just placed neg feed on my page. well Then a review was done and i fell below standard and i was a 5 star rated seller before all this and now i am below standard. So I called ebay and asked them why i lost all my warrentys and why my sales went down and they told me its because you fell below standard and as a punishment and to learn from all this i need to work on better seller ratings. then it got worse from their they then took me down from 10,000 dollars listing fees to 7,500 dollars and from listing 250 items to only 170 items and that placed me over my listing limmits. So from that point i am not able to work on seller standards because i cant change my adds to reflect what i need to work on. This was a plan from e-bay that causes seller failyer. You ask them and all they say is you must get more sales to get a better rating and they cant answer the real question on how i can do that if i am locked out from changing my adds and prices. Their is several e-bay problems and i will point them all out for you. 1.) first problem is the customer is able to place a coment in everyones store. e-bay says the customer is intitled to his or her opinion and that opinion efects all sellers store ratings. I questioned e-bay and asked how a seller can place feedback without contacting the seller first, they told me the customer can is is intitled to. I then said yes a customer can do that as long as it dont efect my store. they then didnt have a answer to that coment other then i as a seller know how to handel all customer complaints if a refund is needed then i will do that as a seller but damage is done and all i am told is more sales will improve my seller rating. 2.) second is how customers can hold sellers hostage from their stores and this includes other sellers on e-bay who sell simuler items they knock off the compitishion by buying and complaining about a product thus e-bay minipulation and more damage to sellers store. I sold a phone it was a ravin 2 from verizon. the customer was a seller on ebay and filed a complainte he recived a ravin 1 phone not a ravin two. I used the ebay catalog to list my item that required me to find the model number of the item and it was on that phone. So all was right on my end and e-bay asked the item to be distroyed and he got his money back. I called ebay on that and they gave me my money back but the customer didnt prove his case and it was also used to place me below standard as the customer placed a coment not once but twice on my store page. thus took me down 5 points on the % scale. placing me at a 89.4% so as a result i lost my hole respect in ebay for helping me to do well as i have been set up for failing with them. Agen customers are taking control over ebay and holding sellers hostage and thus u must return their money or they will leave neg feed on your page. Or if they recive a item they dont like they also place bad feedback so its a no win for sellers on ebay. Sellers must fallow rules and the same must apply with buyers. the buyers are asked to contact seller first before leaving neg feed and they say they do and they dont but yet disturbing to me is the fact they can lie and get away with it and sellers cant defend themselfs at all so many sellers fail over this. I have no income comming in at all lost my job and lost my unemployment money so with this ebay thing it has me at a fail and i am now about to lose my place and that will put me homeless. I want all people with the same problem to help me start a class action lawsuit agenst ebay for dammages done to sellers who are just trying to make a living and make a small company work on their sight. e-bay needs to be acountable for the lack of seller attention and we have no way to contact the corporate offices to adress the concernes we as sellers have. I sent my buyer his stuff. Received the package back at my house marked refused. I refunded his money. He left negitive feedback. I followed ebay guidelines. He did not. Called customer service they said he was right I was wrong. Very dissatisfied. I guess I can randomly leave totally false feedback and ebay will back me up.

Jolene, the fact that you are a Power Seller, have 100% feedback, or even a Top Rated Seller, which I was all of the above before one rogue Buyer, who I made a sale to outside of Ebay and accepted payment through PayPal, and who managed to ruin my 13 year career selling on Ebay with a patently fraudulent dispute, means nothing to them. Those things, e.g. Power Seller, Top Rated Seller, etc. are a bunch of psychological marketing rubbish to give you a warm and fuzzy feeling. I can get that warm feeling by pissing the bed, but after a while it gets cold!

I have had a serious problem with Ebay for a month and it is still not fixed. I am unable to print postage from the Ebay site. I have to use the Paypal site to print my labels. I have called 22 times (not an exageration) to customer support and my problem is still not fixed. All of the off Shore reps are polite and professional. They are well trained but if it is not on their scripts, they cannot fix. They have opened a case with the technical group, where ever they are, and still not fixed. It costs me money each time I print a label with paypal. The insurance is higher and they do not have all of the options that are on the Ebay site. for example, you cannot mail first class international on paypal but you can on Ebay. It is not my browser, my computer, my printer, or anything else I am doing. It is a glitch in the Ebay system. I know this because other sellers, using my computer, sign in and print labels. They go to their computers and cannot print from ebay. HELP, HELP, HELP.....

Been buying and selling on E-bay almost ten years never had a problem. I have a 100 % feedback rating. I had a buyer that was not going to be pleased even after I sent additional items at no cost. He filed a dispute and within 24 hours E-bay made a decision for him, I was under the impression that all sales are final, not so. E-bay refunded him the money , he sent my merchandise back damaged. Sent E-mail to let them know, never heard a word back. After talking to two representatives I decided to pay E-bay the money even though not only has a buyer blackened my reputation but E-bay has as well. I sent a payment by credit card to E-bay, the money is there but evidently there is a link for disputes. So evidently its to difficult to move the money where it is to where they say it needs to be. I was told by the last e-bay rep that everything was ok, a week later I,m getting threatening E-mails from E-bay daily. The second representative I spoke to was disrespectful and rude. So E-bay is going to return the funds I sent to them to my card so I can resend to the proper link, does that make any sense? I was told yesterday not to worry that I had thirty days to resolve this, and today I received an E-mail that they are suspending my account. When the one rep was rude to me, she said that it was my fault the money was not credited to my account, I explained to her its not my fault that E-bay site is designed to have little or no communication with live people, and that it was not designed in a user friendly fashion. I went to look for a corporate office that I could explain get someone that could help me with basic problem solving skills. There is none, you have to deal with the E-bay site itself, thats the way its designed. The tragedy is that I wanted to resolve the original issue and maintain my relationship with E-bay. And they have made it virtually impossible. I spoke to a representative named Aimee yesterday, she was very helpful, she said it was unusual to have received these notices so soon, that I would still have a month, and I received a E-mail that my privileges have been suspended today. This tells me there is a wide gap from what the representatives know and what the automated function of the computer is doing, there is no way to resolve an issue or at least be listened too. E-bay has has become rich because of people like you and I, and we deserve better. I have been faithful to them, I have a 100 % rating and now I have been discarded like a piece of trash, how can that be good business? I never saw this coming, and when this happens to you realize this, you will be pushed through their process quickly. Forgive for saying this but its like being raped. It looks like I will be thrown off E-bay even though I have tried to resolve the problems with E-mails phone calls , and now it seems pointless. If It were my business I would do what I could to save any customer that had a legitimate complaint, sometimes a little listening can go a long way. As far as the 36.00$ they say I owe them, good luck You can chalk it up in a loss column, you have made the last money off me your going to see, you will be losing future revenue and I will let people know the real truth about how you conduct your business, dishonestly, shamefully. Ebay sellers have no rights! Sold Item to a buyer who is out of country, auction clearly states US ONLY. Contacted Ebay, they said the out-of country buyer has to agree to cancel the transaction, So the buyer has all the rights and the seller has none. By the way I have been a long time buyer/seller with Ebay, 741 transactions with 100% feedback, the buyer in this case has 1 feedback. How's that for being unfair. Will do all I can to avoid Ebay in the future.

I urge you all to go to www.peoplesclaim.com and open a claim against EBAY. They are a rip off. Here's the latest email I received from them. "Hi Anthony, After evaluating your seller account, we're changing your seller standing to Below Standard in the US performance program. This account will remain Below Standard for a minimum of 1 month, after which it will be evaluated on the 20th of every month until your performance improves". FYI: I have asked EBAY to cancel my account and they refuse to do so. They refuse to do so b/c I supposedly have an outstanding invoice, which I dispute. Here's some things I've noticed: 1. Know, this, EBAY's 1st priority is the buyer! 2. I almost lost a breadmaker because the buyer whined and EBAY refunded her money. Happen so, I had already shipped the breadmaker. Luckily, I was able to do a mail intercept to have my breadmaker returned to me. 3. Almost the same thing happened with a car organizer tray. EBAY refunded the buyer, after I told them I had already shipped and added the tracking #. The buyer has his car organizer tray, I have my money, and EBAY is still trying to get me to pay them back for refunding the buyer. 4. Ebay lacks consistency. In the above instances, I had representatives telling me that since I entered the tracking #, EBAY should not have refunded the money and that they would get it resolved. Flat out lie! They transferred me back to Buyer Resolution and things stayed the same. 5. BEWARE! EBAY at times will have Paypal bundle your money and cause you to transfer funds to your bank as a bundle instead of individually. This makes it extremely hard for you the seller to keep track of who bought what and what funds were release and withdrawn. Some payments you can transfer individually others they make you transfer in bulk. Paypal nor EBAY has a way of determining what all individual payments were encompassed in the bulk transfer. Meanwhile you may have seller emailing you and EBAY refuses to sort out the mess. 6. There are few companies that justifiably should restrict their numbers to the public. IRS, FEDS, etc. All others have no need. BEWARE of a company that you cannot call on the telephone. REDFLAG. EBAY's probably pissed so many people off that giving out their telephone # has become a security issue and restricting their telephone #s has become a necessity. 7. PIMPING OUT SELLERS. EBAY has resorted to pimping out certain sellers and using them as its whores. It is highly unlikely that you would get an EBAY staffers on the phone. BEWARE: when it comes to the point that you're good enough to have your money taken but not worthy enough to be on the line with an EBAY employee.

E-bay does not sell anything. The SELLER does. Yet they keep changing the rules to favor the buyer. A large number of buyer are crooks. They send back a broken item they had and not the one they were sent. Now we are losing any break we got because I can not mail items the next day as the only day we can go to the post office is Sat. These are the folks who want MITT to win so they can take away all the rights other Vets died for. Shame on you E-BAY. Will be selling on Amazon soon.

What happened to the Ebay I was familiar with. It has tumbled into some deep abyss. There is no way to have a consistent password and the points system for bidding is laughable. I do not use Ebay anymore because it was been encripted in some strnge language. Forget contacting by phone. How many of you know the extension of the ebay staff? Doing business in this was will doom the E-bay Corporation. Good ridence.

So my mom was buying from e-bay using paypal. She ordered something, it was shipped, paypal released the funds, and then she receives an email saying her account has been suspended indefinitely. No other information. I had to use my account to get her the customer service number. The representative located in Asia, repeatedly re-read the same email she received. She kept asking what she did wrong, and they absolutely refused to tell her. Just kept repeating the email like some brainless robot. When I called on her behalf, the Asian rep (who I repeatedly had to ask to stop yelling) said e-bay has the right to refuse business to anyone they want for any reason. So I said, well then how do I know they are not discriminating based on race or gender? The guy then continued to yell and REFUSED to let me speak to his supervisor. I plan to complain to anyone that will listen. This is not a consumer friendly business. How can they prove they aren't being discriminatory? Don't we have the right to know why they suspended the account if it was legit?

I have been through hell and back with a buyer from Crotia who sends me death threats in arabic. This is a weekly email and ebay has all the emails because they can read them. I called weekly because once a week I receive another death threat and ebay just tells me he will get a warning and nothing is done. They do not care. He has 13 sales and I have 3,000 sales...and 100 % feedback and I am a power seller. The safety harbor is a joke...ebay is a joke!

Stay away from EBay! Avoid selling &shipping expensive items to Countries where they will rob you blind electronically ! Avoid Ukraine, Russia & Germany! Pictures of phone was taken as well as recorded all IMEI& serial number before shipping & eBay DID NOT care to look over my evidence . It will be over my dead bleeping body before that buyer walks away with free iPhones. I've already contact some people to do documentary on how eBay works in favors of buyers. It is a pattern I've notice! International buyers always somewhere never receive their apple products while domestic buyers NEVER pulls that stunt! I have worked hard my life . I'm sick & tired of cooperate America liars,cheaters& thieves always get ahead while the honest guys get stumped all over on. After getting notice from eBay that they decided in the buyer favor my blood was boiling they didn't care about my evidence that was provided! Ebay is the worst site now, ebay now in June will allow partial refunds to buyers that are not fully happy with the product they buy. This is called "item blackmail" now allowed by ebay when it wasn't allowed before. If the buyer isn't happy with the item, ebay allows them to renege on the original price the buyers agrees to pay when the listing was active and binding. This should be against the law and I hope the FBI looks into this sort of business practice for this is a violation of fair market trade and eCommerce.

Ok I had a store on ebay when I first started to sell not know calculated shipping had gone away then, on top of it , people complained about everything, so I ended up with neg. feedback if something breaks oh they say item not described. when you list over 1000 auctions that is a ton of time, but ebay limited my account do to people wanting something for nothing it is a buyers world, this became my full time job and yep they closed my account well they say to buy on it but I am banned for good really, wow. buyers are awful at times several are wonderful but they don't take it serious when you have someone that buys items then says they are not happy then buys another of the same item then you see ebay gives them there money back and they have them listed. on there site how crazy is this. So yes they took all my auctions down and Yes say I can't sell on ebay anymore. So the question is where is everyone going to SELL ITEMS ON WHICH SITE as ebay has become a attraction for a buyers world and also companies to sell there returned items or damaged slightly damaged items on ebay. These folks at Ebay take and restrict you of selling in certain catagories or suspend your account for uncontrolable reports, people can make by "reporting items". When I asked them if I could provide proof of authenticity of a watch I was selling , they laughed at it and basically said "NO" we got you flagged already, and nothing you say or do will fix your seller account. We don't care...that you are a "Top Rated" or "Silver Powerseller" and have gone the extra mile to prove your superb customer service. Hey folks reading this...My point is Ebay should be the last place people do business with, because frankly, they DON'T CARE! about you or your relatives or your neighbors and customer service is not in their vocabulary. They are filled with greed, and corporate shareholders set the bar on the operation of the company and because they have no real competition from other auction sites they are growing and getting away with it. Wish there was something similar that we could use - CANT WAIT!!! I agree - ebay's new policy keeps OUR MONEY in their account longer and they make interest on it. I have sold over 60K worth of stuff - youd think I was a VIP client but instead they held my money and didn't even release the SHIPPING cost so I couldn't use PAYPAL's shipping service...that causes more delay, more cost, and more frustration. Ebay, doesn't care about the sellers rights....I recently sold a nice pair of expensive shoes for a fraction of the cost...I described european size put conversion chart up and showed it in US size...BUYER LOVED THEM AND BOUGHT THEM....sad part buyer didn't know how to use a shoe conversion chart...so she put in a complaint to ebay stating shoes were wrong size as described....I spoke to ebay explained look at pics and description and size that's on the shoe...They did, They said it was the right size and buyer was wrong...But if I didn't want to deal with buyer just refund money and she'll give back shoes...WE'LL, 30 days later case is still open from buyer, called ebay they said in 24 hrs they will release money to me and I do not have to refund buyer, since I proved I was right and ebay policy states i'ts on her....so I wait 24 hrs, no release of money, I called ebay the resolution center said, that even though I am right and I received the message of funds will be released in 24 hrs, that was not going to happen, they generate that letter to people because ebay states that will comfort the customer...SO, ACTUALLY EBAY LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING...they told me wait another 15 days and see if customer will return shoes...so now it's going to be 45 days customer has shoes. All ebay does is lie, 90% percent of there call centers are answered by people who don't even speak english....They are told to do to lead the customer on and lie to them at any cost if they have too....I USED TO LOVE TO USE EBAY...I WILL TELL ANYONE THAT LISTENS DO NOT USE EBAY....I WILL ALSO, SEND ALL MY PROOF TO THE NEWS SO THEY CAN DO A REPORT ON EBAY....THEY NEED TO GO ON SHAME ON YOU....

I want to talk to someone about my account that has been suspended forever. I was told to write a letter, which I did, but no reply. It is hard to believe that someone can't take the time to go over my account with me, point by point. It has been over a year and I would like a second chance. I sold hundreds of things, getting a star certificate. When all this came about, it was during a surgery I had, so I did fall behind for a big, but never ignoring my clients. I sent them emails that explained why things were late, or etc. The one thing I did fall short on was not paying attention to my messages from ebay. I only checked my client feedback. I had no idea it was so important to attend to messages. There were many and I was so busy mailing. Everyone seemed so happy with me, except one lady that bought a doll and she put me through heck, but I think I won that. I wrote a big letter, but no reply. My husband died and I am moving. I have a lot to sell. Could someone give me one last chance, I promise to read my messages from you, and keep my shipping low, as they told me later was part of the problem. I am a Christian and would never hurt anyone finanacially. Another problem was that I called Ebay three times, waiting hours, and then I was sent here and there. The last time I got a really grouchy lady, so I am sure it was that incident that was my last straw. She had no compassion for the fact that I was on the phone almost four hours, three hours another time. I was tired and had surgery, as I stated earlier. Please help me with this. A letter I just sent. To whom it concerns at Paypal & Ebay, Recently, Paypal (& Ebay by rights) returned money to someone who purchased some collectable cards from me: (some info. withheld) Transaction date: Mar 9, 2012 Transaction amount: $205.88 USD I have been a good customer of both Paypal and Ebay. I have a very good track record and reputation. Ebay has returned their fees to me, thank you. I spoke to a supervisor at Paypal: the only appeal for me is to prove the buyer received the cards, which I can't do, although I can prove I sent them (03/09/2012 @02:50:11 PM Customs Declaration – CN 22 # LC411864944US) The only avenue of complaint is for me to take the time and effort to compose a letter and send it to “Paypal Corporate, ATTN: Legal Dept./Civil, 2211 N. First St., San Jose CA. 95036”, while I am trying get beyond the anger and frustration of having been violated. Strange that this man, who I almost initiated an unpaid claim against, can just say three weeks later, “Hey, I didn't get these.” End of story. My feedback was already done (positive and a “thank you”). He knew that. All I can do on Ebay is post a short postscript to that feed back. Who is going to read that when the feed back is already positive. What if this guy has done this before? You have no way for me to initiate an inquiry? Other than maybe, in writing. This is wrong. I sold the cards in good faith. I sent the cards in good faith and now I have have been ripped off by someone. No one loses but me. Where is your sellers protection? I am retired and living on a very limited income. Ebay is a way for me to make a little extra to supplement my income. This is important to me. I wait to hear in writing what both you at Paypal and Ebay have to say. This is VERY unfair.

EBAY sucks. They take the buyers money and make interest on it. On top of the seller fees. The items were delivered, as proven by delivery confirmation, and excellent feedback from the buyers and yet I still have to wait 3 days from delivery for my money. I am opening a case with the BBB, and the Massachusetts Generals office of Consumer Affairs. No longer will paypal be accepted if I sell only money orders or bank checks.

I sold 5 items, used paypal shipping labels, nothing I haven't done before, yet these five transactions, did not register that I shipped items, and Ebay did not automatically send tracking no's. to buyers, who received their items, before their tracking no's. This would cause the wrong caliber of buyer to have an excuse to leave bad feedback! Thankfully it did not! Ebay rep stated, 'You are right, policy is, 'that Ebay automatically marks shipped', 'and sends tracking notices', she doesn't know why this happened, but that I should be reviewed today, 4-20-12, for release of funds. I sold items, shipped items within one day, used paypal shipping labels, recieved wonderful feedback, yet I still have my paypal money held????? Call me crazy, but is there something wrong with this treatment? All I am asking for is what rightfully belongs to me, my paypal monies, Thank You!

I also agree with 13-Year eBay Seller's recent comment. Ebay doesn't care about small sellers anymore. I quit selling last year after getting burned on 2 big sales cuz eBay did not protect me. Calling the Corporate headquarters number is a complete shine. Another corporation that doesn't care. Big surprise. But my actual dispute is that a buyer mistakenly bid on my item and won it before realizing it was for local pickup. So I cancelled the transaction BUT Ebay keeps the $45.00 selling fee in my Seller account. I don't want the money in their seller account to hold onto and invest and make money with. I don't plan to sell anything again for a while on Ebay, so how do I get my money back? How the hell do I even talk to a person to try to get my money back? BAD company.

Have been selling with ebay for 8 years. Always paid my fees via paypal. Suddenly paypal misses to make my fee payment to ebay and ebay charges me a Dollar extra for late payment. Of course I refused to pay that Dollar. I have principles. It wasnt my fault so why should I pay? Ebay refuses to take that one Dollar of. Their customer service sucks as well. After 2 hours of taking to a trained monkey who is repeating everything 20 times I gave up and hung up. Yet, the trained monkey was not authorized to take that one Dollar off. Don't you think that keeping a customer is more important then this Dollar. I guess not to E-Bay. They rather loose a seller that brings in a couple of hundred Dollars on seller fees in a month then letting go off one Dollar. Does someone agree with me that E-Bay needs to go back to business school and learn about the basics. I'm done with ebay. That is the thanks for being a loyal seller for 8 years. I go to u-Bid and Amazon. They are more flexible and the accommodate their customers. Good buy E-Bay. Chapter 11 is already written in the Stars for you. Just continue treating your seller like that.

I have also reached my limit as an eBay seller. And I even prevailed in a scammer's buyer protection case. After being on the receiving end of eBays system-generated warnings, threats and suspensions, I stood firm and actually discovered an eBay weakspot. But after 13 years and $150K sales,(mostly rare/vintage collectables) this battle made me realize how disadvantaged and vulnerable the eBay seller has become. While eBay's original success could not have been possible without the individual private seller, eBay's principal focus has transitioned over recent years. The bulk of eBay's profit today comes from managing and selling data on buying behavior and trends from their millions of buyers. Much more valuable than selling commissions in today's marketplace. Simply put...The more buyers they attract, the better and more valuable their data becomes. So it is very important keep buyers protected, and the scammers now know how to profit at the expense of individual sellers. There are plenty of big Amazon-type sellers, so eBay just doesn't need us today, or care if we stop selling. It's been a nice run...but I'll be signing out as an eBay seller.

I have been a buyer on ebay for a long time but I am tired of getting cheated out of return shipping cost.A seller listed the item wrong(he asked his young daughter for the size and didn't confirm it himself when he listed it). I asked for address to return-didn't get it-I had to look through my trash for it. I returned the item($8.20) and the seller talked to me like I was an idiot and even called me psycho B****.I retaliated with profanity because by this time I had had enough and he reported me for a violation but he neglected to tell them what he called me.So the seller gets his merchandise back so he can resell and I am out $8.20 and the negative feedback I left that he richly deserved for bad business practices was taken off-How is this fair-I got the original cost and shipping back but I am still out and this has happened to me more than once.ALL SELLERS ON EBAY NEED TO PAY BACK RETURN SHIPPING COSTS IN ORDER TO SELL ON EBAY!! I filed a complaint with the BBB and this is the response I got from Ebay.....Company's Final Response - Posted 03/27/2012(notice he didn't even spell my name correctly) Hello Dorathea, I appreciate your response. It would certainly be great customer service for the seller to cover the cost of return shipping, and it is something we encourage, but unfortunately, it is not something we are able to enforce under our current policies. When a case is created, we cover the buyer their full refund of original shipping and the original item price. Think of it this way, if you purchase an item from a local business and you discover the item is defective when you take it home, the business will not provide you with a refund for the time or gas money you spent to return the item. They will only cover the cost of the item itself. Regards, Nick G. eBay’s Office of the President-what he fails to recognize is that if you buy from a store and return the product-THE STORE GETS THEIR MERCHANDISE BACK TO RESELL OR TAKE UP WITH THE MANUFACTURER!!!!! I have been buying and selling on E-bay for 10 years with (100%).I think it come the time to get off the bus off E-bay.It is unfortunate.I have "had" much respect for E-bay.It is not easy to run a business of this kind.However:At the moment(for what ever reason E-bay as, they no longer care for Sellers)any more. I sold a perfect product on E-bay that was bought in a Dept store.The buyer stated that the item was a fake.I was told by e-bay to refund the buyer,Period. E-bay took the money from my account even so the buyer had not returned the item As of today March 27/12-45 days from the sale of the product i have not seen the item. I think that:With out sellers like us,very soon E-bay will become another American Express.No ones wants to deal with them,and when that void appears,E-bay will be replaced with 2 or 3 companies better than them. At the present time.if i was E-bay,i would reconsider my policy towards the seller before thinks come crashing on them.It is only matter of time if you continue in this fashion. I relatively new to eBay selling however, there was a little confusion on my part as far as fees I called ebay several times in regards to this I assumed that all my accounts were linked PayPal, eBay & bank account in any event ebay restricted my selling privileges permanently. I sold something my description was accurate however the buyer gives me a bad rating. My brief experience with eBay is that they nickel & dime you, they don't protect the seller only the buyers. I have chosen not do any further business with eBay because the customer service stinks they give you wrong information. They don't realize without there sellers their would be no eBay.

Greedy!! that is an under statement for sure!! Over the years I noticed the super fast increases on the listing fees, final sale fees, then Ebay took all the sellers protection and left all of us at the mercy of crooks and dishonest buyers. No matter how many documentation one can have Ebay does not care. Then the PayPal regime...no one can accept any other payment method only PayPal (Monopoly) owned by who else...Ebay. Well to put the cherry on the top of the best ice cream...now we are paying the shipping and handling fees -Say What!!??? Here is an example...USPS charges $2.89 for shipping a movie using media mail...seller uses an envelop, bubble wrap, tape, paper and printer ink...(so far the seller started to loose money here)...Ebay rule says that the seller can only charge $3.00 tops for shipping... so the seller have 0.11 cents to cover all the material used to send the item to the buyer...now...Ebay is charging 13 percent - yes, that is right 13% on the shipping and handling that should be paid by the buyer... Now check this out... $2.89 - 0.39 (13%) =$2.61 --> See it?? <--- Seller are now paying 0.40 cents to ebay and financing another $0.49 cents so the buyer can have the item...and in top of that PayPal also takes a piece of the pay when they charge a fee that includes the shipping and handling fees. I am initiating a petition, so maybe the CEO of EBAY will have a clue of what is going on... and no, they are not dirt poor or in economical trouble...actually they are doing very good since a lot of sellers are trying to make some extra money to support their families...but Ebay does not care for that!! There few options,1) Stop selling cold turkey!! No more sellers, no more money, no more fees...Ebay keep all the buyers and that will be it. 2) Contact the Better Business Bureau San Jose better business bureau (goggle it)and make a formal complain...3) Make a complain to the state Attorney...and 4) Find the money to build the competition...which is the one I will be more inclined to do. I was selling my items after one year of absence and noticed that fees where growing too fast, is when I check my account and noticed fees for shipping and handling ranging for $.39 cents to $1.49 Oh boy...I was mad...since then I have not listed anything and I am looking for alternatives in how to sell my items. Ebay is a regime where sellers are the criminals, the low lives, those who do not have a voice or right to vote...but the reality is that the sellers are the ones who help build Ebay, the ones that bring the buyers in and the sales up... and therefore the revenue to Ebay!! WAKE UP EBAY!!

We are in a specialized industry that deals with one of a kind vintage instruments. we have been an ebay top rated/power seller since 1998. We have slowly watched our rights as a seller dwindle to the point now that we are considering not selling our merchandise on ebay. We have always shipped product same day or next day for ups cut off. we have no problem with getting our customer their product as soon as possible. We've always included insurance on any item we shipped at our expense not the customer. With ebays five star dash board system many of our west coast buyers have not given us that rating we should get because ups may take up to 7 and ten days to deliver even tho we ship same day. Ups is out of our control. The latest tyranny reigned down upon sellers by ebay is the new 14 day or longer return for full refund policy. We are selling unique vintage instruments are we supposed to let what ebay calls buyers use instruments for personal gains for recording or a live show or just be able to say they played this instrument for two weeks and then let them return it to us for a full refund. How is this fair to a seller at all. And now how to do discern between a ligitimate buyer and one who you are forced to refund their money when they want to test drive a product for a full refund. this policy may fit some buyers but in our case since we are selling vintage products this doesnt fit us at all. So we have to give up our top rated status because ebay is telling us what to do with our products. when we registered to ebay we thought we were the seller and we could handle our own business, apparently we were wrong. All of us who have been consumers know when we like an item or not. Now with ebays policy change the seller is being punished for not wanting to allow a consumer to man handle his merchandise for two weeks before he gets it back. As far as we know there is know policy as to why the buyer returns the item. Thanks ebay for making something so simple incredibly complicated. ps did you get the entire market of Harvard business graduates? only someone with no life experience would come up with this kind of policy!!!!

Ebay is no longer a friendly place to sell. I have sold over $1.1 million on eBay since 2001. I knew that things were going south when eBay took away my right to honestly review the buyers. Nothing but positives if you are a buyer? It gets worse and worse. It is now so one sided that eBay has actually facilitated thefts, and encourages misbehavior by buyers. The savy buyer knows the seller is powerless and uses it to their advantage. I have had more items and money stolen in the last six months than all the previous 11 years combined. How does eBay respond? They put a hold on my funds for 3 weeks interest free because they say I have too many "claims". Foolish, one sided. "Customer Service"? What a joke.

I too just left ebay as of 3/7/2012. I was a power seller with outstanding customer service (MAKOMANIA) when I had a customer who lied and said he did not recieve an item and wanted a refund. Since I had delivery confirmation of the item I was able to confirm the date and time it was delivered to his home. He went to pay pal and was denied a refund because of the delivery confirmation. Ebay led me to believe that because I did everything right, and the fact that he lost his case, I was not to worry and that I will be taken care of. Well that was a big lie because when the customer left bad feedback Ebay said "Sorry there is nothing we can do". Had I known they were going to leave me hanging out to dry I would have refunded the lying cheating low life of a customer his lousy $3.00. I had a perfect score of 100% and was very proud of it. They were making good money off me and my auctions. It's the principal and the fact that in the event I need them for a larger issue, I now know they will not be there for me. I will never go back. Eventually the web site will be good for nothing but flea market items. I know of at least 10 good sellers that left because they care more about the buyer than the seller. GOOD BYE EBAY but you lost another good customer and much revenue over a little $3.00 issue. Ebay should realize who their customer is. Any company who does not take care of their customers is destined for failure. Good bye everyone.

I have sold many items, have a perfect feedback record...felt eBay was the venue for my items to be sold...I make money, they make money....a nice combination. WRONG!! I sold a brand new 18k diamond Gucci ring. I listed personal pictures, stated the ring size, gave the gram weight, everything that a Seller should do! I sold for a lot less than other Sellers, trying to be competitive. The Buyer received the ring, gave positive feedback...great transaction, right? Again, wrong! Three weeks after the positive feedback, the Buyer messaged me the ring was the wrong size and wanted to return it. Since I had documentation of the ring size, so much time had elapsed, and not knowing what the condition of the ring would be, I did not agree to a refund. The Buyer filed a claim and I escalated it knowing that I could prove the ring size with my documentation. eBay would not accept my documents, stating that it could be wrong and allowed the Buyer to provide their own proof. I believe that the Buyer switched rings on me, but I couldn't prove it, so I had to refund the money once the item was returned. When I received the item back, the ring was used, scratched and damaged all over....clear signs that the Buyer either switched rings or used it and returned it. I notified eBay immediately. Do you know what they did?? They refunded the Buyer 100% of their payment out of my Paypal account. What did eBay do for me? They offered me a fraction of what I sold it for as a negotiation for the damage, and I am stuck with a ring I cannot sell and cannot wear. Why does the Buyer become whole but not the Seller?? Also, I did not get a credit for my eBay fees because I dared to refuse to refund the Buyer and adamantly deny that the size was incorrect. I have tried several times to speak with a supervisor, but I am told every single time that no one is available to talk to me but someone will call back within 24 hours. It has been two days and nobody calls back. If I try again to call eBay, I am told that my request to speak with a supervisor is automatically cancelled. Lastly, the eBay claimsperson reads from a "script" and no matter what I can prove and what I say, the Seller cannot get a word in edgewise. The system has changed and if one is a Seller, be prepared for that one Buyer who is not honest. When that happens, the Seller has no rights whatsoever! Shame on eBay. They have lost another customer, as I will not sell on eBay anymore!

I am a 100% seller and buyer at Ebay. The list of their deceptive practices would fill a 100 page legal brief. They own the Courts in Santa Clara, Ca. Did you ever read the USER AGREEMENT? All cases over $10,000 HAVE to be heard in the Santa Clara Court system or in the 9th circuit Federal Court in San Francisco, so you can bet they are covered there. "Buyer Protection"? AHAHAHAHAAHA It is, what we in the insurance defense Bar, of which I am no longer a part, as I hated being a stooge for a greedy "good hands" company, label "ILLUSORY COVERAGE". Currently, their site is experiencing a "Hard Outage", as during my 7 day listings, the search items went down, rendering the site useless. Don't vent here, get even! You want to be heard? Go to the San Jose BBB ( better business bureau ) : sanjose.bbb.org and file a complaint. Want more? Call the State Attorney General for your State and they can initiate a suit against Ebay. Now, stop complaining without result. You have two viable organizations. Let's show them who is the boss.

ebay has forgotten the seller. Plain and simple. Without sellers there are no buyers, yet the buyer has ALL of the protection from eBay. Over the years they have consistently TAKEN from the Seller. Now with the new return rules for 2012, the buyer has even more protection at the expense of the seller. ebay has forgotten their roots. I had a buyer that lied throughout the process but ebay took their side and stuck me with the item etc... eBays policy is "the customer is always right" which isn't always the case. Feedback policy is also another Buyer protected system that eBay has taken away from the seller as well. The seller only can leave POSITIVE feedback, even if a buyer doesn't pay for an item!!! But the buyer can leave a seller NEGATIVE feedback even if they do everything right!!! I received 1 negative feedback and it lower my score 1 entire point. Since then I have received 57 positive feedbacks and it has only come up .4 !!! Thats POINT 4!!! WHAT A CROCK. Folks you can do like I have and sought and found other places to sell my items without the BS from ebay. If you look you will too. Ebay come back to your sellers we are still here waiting but we are tired of you NOT looking out for us. WE BUILT YOU.... WE PAY THE FEES NOT THE BUYER....IF WE GO AWAY THE BUYERS GO AWAY....
